Announcement: Our Team Members' New Roles and Responsibilities
We are proud to recognize the outstanding contributions and announce the new roles of our dedicated team members at KAF. Their hard work and commitment continue to drive our success and innovation.
Brian P. Feighery
New Role: Official Assistant to Brian Feighery (VP of Manufacturing)
Brian P. has been an integral part of KAF for 21 years, starting with a part-time stint before joining full-time. We are excited to announce his new role as the official assistant to Brian. Brian P. will assume Brian's role upon his retirement, continuing his responsibilities in Quality Management and Customer Support. Additionally, Brian P. will:
Follow up with new customer leads from Thomasnet.
Manage workforce deployment to ensure optimal support.
Oversee purchasing, with potential future delegation of order entry and financials.
Gather material certifications and manage internal coding and tracking of purchased materials.
Maintain training certifications for employees acquiring new skills.
Continue training Andy Mason in the lapping department.
Co-manage Employee Awareness, Training, and Orientation programs.
Collaborate with the plant manager on workflow and job scheduling.
Brian's extensive experience and dedication make him a cornerstone of our team, and we look forward to his continued contributions.
Naim Ukperaj
New Role: Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Milling Department
Naim's exceptional skills and 16 years of service at KAF have earned him the position of Lead Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, Naim will have programming responsibility for the Milling Department, working closely with John Roland, and Matthew Marsden. His responsibilities include:
Creating and updating ESPRIT milling programs.
Developing Laser Marking programs and programs for 3D printed parts and fixtures.
Serving as Chief Inspector and the go-to expert for CMM and Keyence inspections.
Maintaining the company website, industrial supplier platform, and social media.
Assisting in maintaining our AS 9100 certification.
Co-managing Employee Awareness, Training, and Orientation programs.
Visiting all departments to ensure real-time data collection for accurate job costing and quoting.
Naim's expertise in programming and inspection, coupled with his leadership skills, will drive our manufacturing excellence forward.
Yandri Arce
New Role: Lead Diamond Turning and EDM Engineer
Yandri has been a vital part of our team for 11 years, excelling in Diamond Turning and EDM. In his new role, Yandri will be responsible for all Lathe Engineering, including both Diamond and Conventional methods. His duties include:
Building programs from drawings and solid files.
Establishing necessary inspection techniques and training others in Diamond Turning.
Managing diamond tool inventory and maintenance.
Overseeing EDM operations, including programming and fixturing.
Maintaining EDM machines and cross-training others for setup and operation.
Designing fixtures for 5-axis and conventional milling, as well as lathe operations.
Yandri's precision and expertise in lathe engineering and EDM make him an invaluable asset to our team.
While we highlight the new roles and contributions of Brian P., Naim, and Yandri, we also want to acknowledge and recognize the hard work and dedication of our entire workforce.
